From the Spring of 2006 to the Spring of 2007, the number of technology
apprenticeships in the Citizen Schools network has more than doubled
reaching nearly 30. The surge in numbers indicates an increase in
interest and engagement from the technology sector. Citizen Schools now
provides curriculum for WiredWoods web design, Scratch programming, and
Scheme programming, not to mention burgeoning partnerships with
Microsoft, Google, and IBM to name a few. Kids Online is a local,
city-wide event with national videoconferencing component which
allows for a deep connection between states and demonstration of mastery
across our national network. To learn more
about Kids Online, contact WiredWoods Teaching Fellow Zeb Zankel at (617) 695-2300 x303.
